ReplyDeleteThank you for doing week one, day one, activity two. I enjoyed reading about where you and your family are from, and thank you for being so open about your cultural background, I really appreciated that :) It is clear that you are well aware of the violence some people in Afghanistan face, and it breaks my heart that this is happening around the world and somewhere that is so meaningful to you. It must have been hard writing about these kinds of things that are happening in your home country.
I would love to know more about what it means to you to be from Afghanistan? Does your family hold any Afghani traditions? What is your favourite Afghani meal that is cooked in your household?
I am Pākehā but my dad’s family comes from England and my Mum’s family comes from Scotland and Canada. My family is quite small and live in many different places, but I have a lot of friends and family friends who are like family to me. The most important thing about my family is that we are really open and honest and have great communication, my parents are also really loving towards me :)
I only speak English but I would love to learn Te Reo Maori and Spanish.
I look forward to reading more of your posts over the summer :)
Eliza :)
